USE THE SEAL
Craft Chocolate Makers
The Pono Cocoa seal is a logo that businesses and organizations can use to declare their support for independent craft chocolate makers who use Certified Pono Cocoa ethical standards in their production.
Sign the maker license agreement, then download the Certified Pono Cocoa Seal.
Add the Pono Cocoa seal wherever you want to show support for independent (minus the restriction below) craft chocolate companies. Marketplace examples include the entrance of your retail establishment, your restaurant menu, festival signs, merchandise and advertising. Craft Chocolate makers may ask Certified Pono Cocoa cacao farms to use the Pono Cocoa seal and vice versa. This is allowed in connection to that specific craft chocolate company's brand name and bars.
A craft chocolate maker / licensee cannot use the Pono Cocoa Seal on any labeling or packaging of products that do not contain above 100% ethically sourced cacao. See license agreement.

Cacao Farms
The Pono Cocoa Seal is a certification mark confirming your cacao farm meets Pono Cocoa’s definition of an independent cacao farm.
Eligible cacao farms sign the farmer's license agreement, then download the Certified Pono Cocoa Seal.
Add the independent Pono Cocoa cacao farmer seal to your cocoa sacs, business cards, website, sample bags, and more! For eligible farms, as well as your farm tours, airbnb experiences, social channels, marketing, merchandise, staff outfits, and advertising.
In regards to packaging, cacao farms can only use the seal on packaging for cacao products solely in connection with the advertising, marketing, and sales of “cacao farm products” as defined by the Pono Cocoa requirements. These requirements align with the consumer understanding of cacao farms and are more narrow than a federal tax-based definition. In short, cacao beans, flavored cacao beans, cacao nectar, cacao nectar jelly, chocolate, cocoa powder, cacao wine, and spirits and cocoa butter.
